Serbian Handball Federation announced their interest to organise Women’s World Championships in 2013.  Promotion of project “SERBIA 2013″ in IHF headquater in Basel, Switzerland was high rated and as a only European candidate for now, Serbia will have a huge chances to get the biggest handball event.  Competition will have probably in South Korea, who organised Junior WC 2010, but is still possibility that Korea change their hosting plans for WC 2015.

Still, “green light” has to give a Serbian Minister for Youth and Sports, who has to approve this event and prepare budget for meeting high standards.

Serbia will organise Men’s EURO 2012. That will be a serious test for all kind of capacities and a great preparation for bigger event with 24 teams as WC.

President of IHF, Hassan Mustafa, will visit Serbia in next two month, to give a vote of confidence to SHF and also to meet and give a  appropriate recognition to the best handball women player ever, Svetlana Ceca Kitic, who won at voting on IHF website.
