POLAND 2016: Denmark and Hungary with “no stress” in Gdansk

Denmark and Hungary celebrated important wins at the Men’s EHF EURO 2016 Group D start. Danish boys had difficulties with Russia 31:25 (13:13) in Gdansk, but finally resistance of the rivals have been broken in the last 10 minutes. Like French team against Macedonians, Hansen and his compatriots played furiously in the last ten minutes of the match, which was ended with 7:2 series (24:23, 51st minute).

Hansen, Mensah and Damgaard netted four goals for the winners, while Shelmenko scored five in Russian jersey.

STATISTICS

Hungary have no troubles against Montenegro 32:27 (16:12). Talant Dushebaev managed to raise the form of him team after average performance in pre-tournament period. Young Montenegrians with lack of experience had no power to play on the equal level with the rival, despite seven goals of Vuko Borozan.

Hungary controlled the result during the whole match. Montenegrians came closest on 25:23 in 48th minute, but without energy for turnover…

Line-player Bence Bahnidi netted seven goals, while Borozan was on the same level…
