Veszprem began good with Ilic and Nagy in the main roles, but after the starting lead 2:1 in 5th minute, Hungarians were forced to be in minus until the final whistle. Barca’s defense close the most of the tactics solutions of the rivals, forcing only Ilic and Nagy to take responsibility.

“Predictable” attack of the Hungarians, however, didn’t make bigger advantage between two teams. Nikola Karabatic, as usual, had the main role in the Barca’s attack leading his team on +3 in 21st minute – 9:6.

The same distance stayed until the half-time break – 14:10.

Only Laslo Nagy was dangerous for the Danijel Šarić’s net in the second half of the match. Barca went on +5 in 34th minute (16:11), but the team of Antonio Carlos Ortega didn’t give up.

Mirko Alilovic gave the wings to his team with few saves, but Veszprem missed three chances to come on -1 (17:19) at the start of 40th minute.

Momir Ilic was caught by Barca’s defensive system and Danijel Šarić between the posts. Ortega had no more experienced players in backline for turnover. In 51st minute, when Barca went on +6 (24:18) it was clear who will take trophy home…
