The new Bahreini national coach is Borut Macek. Slovenian coach will try to write the new chapter of the handball history by taking the third national team to the World Championship. He did it with Qatar in 2013 and Iran in 2015, while the next chance for Bahrein will be at World Championship 2017 in France.
Macek led Iran to the 21th place at World Championship 2015.
He won’t be only coach who will take the new role in Persian Gulf. The youngest coach in the EHF Champions League history from his time in RK Partizan Beograd (2011), Aleksandar Brkovic will take responsibility for U21 and U19 Bahreini national teams.
