DUTCH GIRLS HAVE COACH UNTIL RIO 2016: Henk Groener dreams about Olympic Games

Henk Groener will stay on the bench of Women’s Dutch handball national team until end of the Olympic cycle – Rio 2016.  Groener began his work with the best Dutch handball girls in 2008. Two years later The Netherlands made the best result at the EHF EURO events in Denmark and Norway (EHF EURO 2010), where Dutch girls were 8th. A year later, “orange” girls played at WCh 2011 in Brasil after six years break from the biggest scene, when they won 15th place.

The biggest surprise of the WCh 2013 qualifications is made by Netherlands. Groener’s girls beat world-class Russia and write a new chapter of the handball history. Russia won’t play at World Championship for the first time since 1973 – 40 years!
