The assistant coach of Montpellier Handball, Erick Mathe will overtake position of head coach at Chambery Savoie. The Croatian coach Ivica Obrvan had contract with Chambery until 2020, but both sides agreed about termination a year before the end.
Mathe is long-term assistant of Patrice Canayer in Montpellier, who will now get a chance to present himself as the first coach:
- I am very happy for the arrival of Erick Math̩ at Chamb̩ry Savoie Mont Blanc Handball. It opens a new era that I hope prosperous. A change of coach is always a special moment in a professional sports team and it is the candidate we wanted to meet this challenge. Eric will know how to carry our values, our projects and will be the ambassador of the philosophy of our club. The pair he will form next year with Laurent Busselier is very promising.
