EURO 2012 qual. (Round 2): Austrian storm blew “fishermen”

After surprisingly good results at EURO 2010, where they took 9th place as a Host nation, Austria keeping great level of performance. In the Round 1, with a new head coach, Magnus Andersson, who replaced Dagur Sigurdsson, Austria lost point in Germany (26:26, Austria led 26:24 two minutes before the end) and at the openning match of Round 2, they won against Olympic vice-champion, Iceland 28:23! Hero of the match was goalkeeper of Balingen, Nikola Marinovic with 21 saves. With three points from two matches, Austria is now very close to qualify for the third big event in a row (EURO 2010, WC 2011,…)
