Datum:03.09.2012 | Autor:Editor

Legendary Evgeny Trefilov is sacked by the Board of Russian Handball Federation with 7:0 votes. Bad results at WCh 2011 in Brasil and Olympic Games in London, where Russian team lost in the quarter-finals against Korea were the main reasons for such a decision, but not just that. Ruined relationship between Trefilov and TOP Russian teams culminated after Olympics with the letter of protest against legendary headcoach, with whom Russia won four World’s gold medals since 2001.

Trefilov led Russian NT since 1999.

- We will have public try-out for a new headcoach. One of the major condition will be that coach won’t work with some team in the same time. It could be also some foreign coach  – said Boris Alesin, president of RHF.
