The head coach of the Women’s National Team and one of the most influental players in Russian handball, Evgeny Trefilov, has commented the decision of Timur Dibirov not to play at the upcoming championship in Denmark.
“I think that the withdrawal of Dibirov from the national team is equal to treason. He is a great player, with great skills and I have positive attitude towards him. However it’s really bad when the Russian national team is losing a player of such level, and I think that it can be only characterized as traitor.”
