FRANCE 2017: Six referees pairs stay for the final weekend

With only four matches remaining at the 25th IHF Men’s World Championship, the number of referee couples has been reduced – and only the best of the best remain.

Members of the IHF Playing Rules and Referees Commission have carefully evaluated referee performance throughout France 2017, and made their decisions based on the level displayed at the championship.

From the original 16 couples, six referee pairs have been selected for the final stage of France 2017:

• Martin Gjeding and Mads Hansen (DEN)
• Lars Geipel and Marcus Helbig (GER)
• Jiri Novotny and Vaclav Horacek (CZE)
• Oscar Raluy and Angel Sabroso (ESP)
• Gjorgji Nachevski and Slave Nikolov (MKD)
• Arthur Brunner and Morad Salah (SUI)
