The legendary former head coach of Germany national team, Heiner Brand, returns to handball after 3 years of break. Unfortunately, it’s not for coaching a team, but Brand decided to return to his youth club VfL Gummersbach as handball advisor.
Brand, member of Gummersbach city council, will volunteer at his youth club, Vfl Gummersbach. Brand is expected to advise VfL Gummersbach, which ended the Bundesliga as 10th last year, on tactical matters. “I see my work as advisory capacity. There are plenty talents in the squad of VfL Gummersbach right now”, Brand said to the club’s official website.

By the way, VfL Gummersbach will open 2015/16 preseason with the first training session for this year today at 18:00 in an open training for the fans.
