Jakobsen and Rhein Neckar Lowen – together until 2017

German handball powerhouse Rhein Neckar Lowen showed satisfaction with a work of the Danish coach Nikolaj Jakobsen by extension of contract until 2017 (previous was until 2016). Former coach of Danish Aalborg survived the toughest six months at the start of his Bundesliga career, keeping the chances for big results in two most important competitions – DKB Bundesliga and VELUX EHF Champions League.

Successor of Gudmundur Gudmundsson maintained the level of high performance from the last few seasons in situation of making a new roster after era of Icelander in Mannheim.

– Nikolaj doing a fantastic job and it looks as if he has always been here. After we determined our team for the future, it was also important for us to provide continuity on the bench, says Rhein-Neckar Löwen-director Lars Lamade to the club’s website.
