Japan to make handball revolution with Sigurdsson on the bench?

Dagur Sigurdsson will leave German national team bench after World Championship 2017, according to German BILD. Icelander who made handball revolution in Germany with gold medal at Men’s EHF EURO 2016 and Olympic bronze in Rio after years of average results, decided to try some new challenges.

About PSG Handball we already wrote, German sources write about Telekom Veszprem interest, but the strongest option is Japanese national team.

Japan will host Olympic Games in 2020. Sigurdsson began his coaching career there as player-coach at Wakunaga Hiroshima. 

The Asian team qualified for the Men’s World Championship 2017 with Spaniard Antonio Carlos Ortega on the helm. KIF Kolding coach will lead Japanese guys in France.
