Katrine Lunde to become assistant coach in Vipers Kristiansand

The best Norwegian team Vipers Kristiansand can count on serious reinforcement in coaching staff for the upcoming season. Injured world-class goalkeeper Katrine Lunde will help Ole Gustav Gjekstad in his work during her reha-period.

The World class goalie suffered knee ligaments injury during Women’s EHF Final4 in Budapest in May, so she will miss most of the season with expecting come-back in April 2020. Lunde will be responsible for work with goalkeepers:

  • Katrine will be my assistant coach this year with the main focus on goalkeepers. There are not many in this world who are better at taking care of it, ”Vipers coach Ole Gustav Gjekstad says of Lunde’s new role according to Norwegian Aftenposten .

She will succeed her sister Kristine Lunde-Borgersen, who was Gjekstad’s assistant coach in the previous season.
