Lino Červar to overtake Macedonian NT?

Macedonian handball needs some new energy after disasterous fail in the qualification for the Olympic Games in Rio, which marked the end of the most successful generation in history with Lazarov, Mojsovski, Mirkulovski, Ristovski, etc. The MHF president Živko Mukaetov got a full support from the Assembly members to continue a good work until the end of his mandate.

The only open question is successor of Ivica Obrvan, Croatian coach who led national team between 2013 and 2016.

Application process is open, but all Macedonian media wrote that the first favorite for that position is Lino Červar. Ex-Olympic and World Champion with Croatia in 2004 and 2003, made a lot of success with RK Metalurg Skopje, playing twice at VELUX EHF Champions League quarter-finals.

Experienced Červar is still in Skopje, working at RK Metalurg, but also younger categories of Macedonian national teams.
