Macedonia have been more successful than Greece in the return-leg as well, and won it 35:23 (19:9). While the first game seemed much more equal, in the second one the game as practically one-sided, with Macedonia dominating in all aspects of the game. Qatar 2015 will be Macedonia’s fourth World Championship, after they have participated at Egypt 1999, Croatia 2009 and Spain 2013.
Kiril Lazarov led Macedonia’s team with 10 goals from 13 shots, while Manaskov, Georgievski and Pribak scored 4 goals each. Tzatzo scored 5 goals for Greece, being their best scorer.
