MIRACLE HAPPENED! Wisla Plock from -8 and two red cards to TOP 16!

Amazing, brilliant achievement by Orlen Wisla Plock in Denmark which led Polish vice-champions to the EHF Champions League TOP 16! The “Oilers” have lost first knock-out match against BSV Bjerringro Silkeborg 22:26 in front of home fans, they stayed without suspended Renato Sulic before the match, but in 14th minute happened something which handball fans could never see before. In two attacks Wisla lost Jose Toledo and Emil Racotea who were sent-off after fouls on Silkeborg’s playmaker Sebastian Skube. This happened in 38 seconds…

It was almost an impossible mission for Xavi Sabate’s boys in 26th minute, when the domestic team was on 15:11, but everything that happened afterward was just amazing.

Wisla’s goalkeeper Adam Morawski had “35 minutes of his life” with 17 saves, while defense of his team was simply “brutal”. Turnover has happened, one of the most surprising in the newest history of the European elite competition. At the end 19:27, for +12 series and place in the battle for 1/4 finals.

The Spanish coach Xavi Sabate has added another memorable moment in his CV after losing epic final against PGE Vive Kielce in the role of Telekom Veszprem coach.

MOL Pick Szeged are next rival of the “Oilers”…
