Noka Serdarušić resigned as coach of Slovenia NT

One of the most succesfull handball coach in last two decade, Zvonimir Noka Serdarusic resigned from a position of coach of Slovenia national team. He remained in this position last 14 months, led NT to EURO 2010 in Austria, where Slovenia took solid 11th place. After that, they had bad June, when Slovenia lost VISA for WC in Sweden 2011 in two matches against Hungary.

Former coach of THW Kiel didn’t give explanation for his decision, but rumuors saying about “some of the most experienced players who are planning to boycot start of EURO 2012 qualifications in October”. On that side goes also situation from last weekend CL game between Barcelona and Celje PL, when Serdarusic argument with Uros Zorman and took him off the court after just 16 minutes of the Match.

With him also resigned director of NT, Roman Pungartnik and Secretary General of RZS (Rokometna Zvezda Slovenije), Tomaž Jeršič.

Serdarusic will stay coach of Celje Pivovarna Lasko.
