OLYMPIC GIRLS: South Korea – the fifth team in Rio 2016!

South Korea extended tradition of representing Asia at the Olympic Games by qualifying for Rio 2016! Korean girls showed class among the other Asian handball nations with four easy wins in for matches at qualification tournament in Japanese city of Nagoja.

Korea beat Japan 35:21 (17:11) in the decisive match for the first place and VISA for Brazil.

South Korea are the fifth team in Rio’s women’s tournament. Brazil, Norway, Angola and Argentina are already there. The sixth team will be the World Champion from Denmark 2015, while the other six will qualify through three Olympic qualification tournaments which will be played in period March 17 -20.
