PSG Handball celebrate first EHF CL win

PSG overcame the tough challenge of Plock at the Stade Pierre de Coubertin by winning 33-30. The star-ensembled parisians had a slow start allowing their polish counterparts to take the lead on a number of occasions. Star player and two time world player of the year Nikola Karabatic wobbled off the court in the first half which proved pivotal for Paris as they struggled to get a good lead.

Luc Abalo returned from injury after the Olympics but seemed rusty as he couldn’t quite find his feet, only picking up the one goal. Hansen and new signing Uwe Gensheimer bagged 14 goals combined but it was the young french left hander who impressed and finished top goalscorer with 10 goals who proved to be the most influential player on the court.
