One of the symbols of RK Metalurg Skopje uprising in the last few years, Filip Mirkulovski (32) left the team and signed contract with the German squad TSV Hanover Burgdorf. RK Metalurg’s captain had contract with the club, which had to keep him until the end of the career in the team, where he came in 2002, but financial collapse forced majority of the players to leave “Autokomanda”.
– I had to catch last train since there were no sign that situation in Metalurg will be better. I am going to Hanover on Saturday. I will stay until the end of the season with possibilty to extend contract on two more years. I had some offer from Qatar, but I decided to accept “handball offer” – said Mirkulovski for MK Sport.
Darko Stanic (Bietegheim), Vladan Lipovina (HSG Wetzlar) and Vuko Borozan (TUS Lubbecke) are three RK Metalurg’s players who signed for Bundesliga’s teams after they left Skopje in December.
