RK Zagreb to meet RK Vardar at 7th SEHA Gazprom final

RK PPD Zagreb will meet RK Vardar at the seventh final of the SEHA Gazprom League on Sunday at Jane Sandanski hall in Skopje. The Croatian champions beat traditional rivals from Slovenia – RK Celje Pivovarna Lasko 29:28 (14:11) in very interesting finish. The match winner was Domagoj Pavlovic with hammer goal in the last attack of the winning team.

The SEHA champions from 2013 from Skopje’s first Final4 event, Zagreb, played very good in the first 40 minutes of the match, but last 20 minutes weren’t according plan of the coach Zlatko Saracevic. RK PPD Zagreb had 20:14 in 40th minute, when RK Celje’s coach Branko Tamse put the last ace in the game – the 17-years old wonderkind Domen Makuc.

The youngest player on the court netted five goals (100%) until the end and helped his team to get back in the match. His last goal was enough for 28:27 and short drama in the last two minutes, which had a hero in the best Zagreb’s player Domagoj Pavlovic (seven goals).
