Serbia fighting with the biggest floods in the history of this Balkan countries. Dozens of cities are under water, while in Obrenovac, city 30 km far away from capital Belgrade, city is totally under water with some deaths and currently is “on” total evacuation of city of 40.000 inhabitants.
Despite the state of emergency and call that all the sports matches have to be delayed by Ministry of Sports, the only match will be played is handball EHF Challenge Cup Final in Sabac, where Metaloplastika will face Swedish Savehof (19hrs). The things becoming more interesting because Šabac is the “question” number 1 in Serbia today, because it is expected that Sava river will reach the maximum level in the last 120 years near city!
Prime-minister Aleksandar Vucic called voluntairs from whole Serbia to come and help Šabac:
– We must save Šabac” – said Vucic last night before he went to the handball city on Friday evenning.
Army, Police members and 10.000 voluntairs worked all the night to ensure embankment by the river.
