Savas Karipidis is back to Greece after 8 years – A.E.K made strong team

After eight years in German Bundesliga, one of the best Greek players ever, Savas Karipidis (34) has decided to join the ambitious project of domestic champion A.E.K Athens. Karipidis has played last six years in MT Melsugen, while his two first Bundesliga’s season he was a member of HSG Wetzlar. Greek right wing was the Bundesliga TOP scorer in season 2008/2009.

He was a member of Greek Olympic squad in 2004. Karipidis has also won Swiss championship with Kadetten Schaffhausen in 2005.

AEK will meet Belarus Dinamo Minsk at the VELUX EHF Champions League qualification tournament semi-final in Presov (Slovakia). In the second semi-final will play domestic Tatran and Turkish Besiktas on the last day of August.
