Sensational night in Stockholm – France beat Germany!

Two big surprises have been seen in Stockholm’s HOVET Arena in Day 3 at the Women’s EHF EURO 2016. Firstly, Serbia beat Spain 25:23 (11:8) led by fantastic newcomer on big stage, goalkeeper Marija Colic (18 saves). Krpez Slezak with six and Stoiljkovic with goal less, made this night unforgetable for the Serbian handball community.

In the second match of Group A, Slovenia made a miracle against home team Sweden with the same result – 25:23 (12:12). Mavsar netted six goals, Marincek had 14 saves, while on the Swedish side Gullden scored 10 goals followed with 10 saves of Filippa Idehn.

France beat Germany 22:20 (11:11) after tough match in which goalkeepers and defenses had the biggest role. Nze Minko scored six goals for the winners, while Clara Woltering couldn’t save her team from losing even with 15 saves in total.

Dutch girls easily past Poland 30:21 in match in which they showed speedy recovery after starting defeat against Germany. Tess Wester was brilliant with 17 saves.
