The silver medal team from the last World Championship 2013, Serbia, showed progress during the Preliminary Round matches in Group A in Herning despite fourth place at the end. Handball community in Serbia and media gave up hands from the team since four best players Andrea Lekic, Sanja Damnjanovic, Katarina Tomasevic and Dragana Cvijic decided to boycott NT head-coach Saša Bošković.
Serbian Handball Federation supported coach in this “war”, so Serbia went to Denmark without high expectations, but with hidden motive to qualify for the Olympic qualification for Rio.
