The Serbian Handball Federation will get a new president and Management Board on Assembly which will be held in Belgrade on September 8. One of the most successful handball nations in South Eastern Europe had brilliant two years in 2012 and 2013, when Serbia organized three big handball events (Men’s and Women’s EHF EURO 2012, Women’s World Championship 2013) and won two medals – men’s silver and women’s world silver.

However, in the Olympic cycle until Rio 2016, both national teams didn’t qualified for Brazil, while Men’s team didn’t qualified for World Championships 2015 and 2017.

Women’s team played at eight-final of the last World Championship 2015 in Denmark, but without four biggest stars Andrea Lekić, Dragana Cvijić, Sanja DAmnjanović and Katarina TomaÅ¡ević who boycotted a former NT coach SaÅ¡a BoÅ¡ković.

After he was sacked, the new NT coach Dragica Djuric didn’t want to call them back.
