Handball-Planet.com announced that Siarhei Rutenka left Qatari Lekhwiya SC by mutual agreement after two months in Doha. Belarussian giant explained reasons for such a decision to domestic pressball.by:
-Reason for my decision was the refusal of the club to fulfill contractual obligations. Promised money was paid as it was agreed. However, two months, I lived in a hotel, waiting for house and car from the club. This would give me the opportunity to move my family to Qatar. They offered something, but that didn’t respond to those which we originally agreed. We agreed to break the contract. I can make a joke: “Lekhwiya SC” – a club that has a serious problem in everything except money.
Lekhwiya opened domestic Championship with four wins in a row…
-We won all of them, I spent all the time on the court, not only in attack, but in center of defense. I believe that I am now in excellent physical shape.
Plans…
-Plan is to stay a few days in Minsk, then going to Barcelona, where is my family. My manager was ready to immediately get me into one of the European club. However, we decided to wait until European Championship, because then I had to spend time in my new club until end of 2015. So, it will be possible to work with the national team, from the beginning preparation scheduled for December 21. Men’s EHF EURO 2016 has absolute priority and decision where I will play in future will be made in January or even after Championship – concluded Rutenka.
