Slavko Goluza a new coach of Croatia

Very succesfull player, playmaker who win two gold medal at Olympic Games and one at WC in Portugal 2003, Slavko Goluza (39) got support from Croatia Handball Federation (HRS) to inherit Lino Cervar on position of Croatia national team headcoach. In last two months he was “temporary solution”, but from Tuesday is clear that he will lead Croatia at WC 2011 in Sweden. Opponent candidate for atractive position were Goran Perkovac (former Swiss NT coach) and Kasim Kamenica (experienced national coach – Nexe Nasice), but Management decide that the best solution is former Cervar assistant – Goluza.

Goluza has just a short coach experience with a Sisak, team who competed in Premijer League of Croatia. Until now, his CV is only full with a player achievement. He began with Metkovic, then moved to Zagreb, Veszprem, TUS (Germany) and PSG in France.
