The best team of Turkey Besiktas MOGAZ and French second divison team Chartres celebrated wins at the start of 45th International Handball Tournament in Struga (Macedonia). Much more interesting was a clash between Turks and Swedish vice-champions Alingsas 29:27 (13:16) which EHF CL members won after turnover in the second half. The TOP scorer was Bosnian right wing in Besiktas, Faruk Vrazalic with five goals.
In the first match of the night, French Chartres had no trouble to outplay domestic team – Struga 34:16 (16:8). This was a good warm-up for the clash with RK Metalurg Skopje, which will decide about the tournament’s finalist.
