The former Croatian NT left back, member of golden Lino Červar’s roster in 2003 (WCh 2003) and 2004 (Olympic Games), Blaženko Lacković has broken hand during defensive action in win against HSG Wetzlar 30:21 and won’t be able to help his team-mates in the most demanding part of the season – battles for DKB Bundesliga title and VELUX EHF Champions League trophy in Cologne on May 28/29.
“This is disaster”, said THW Kiel’s coach Alfred Gislason just after the match. He can’t count on another option on left back, Christian Dissinger, who is also out for the rest of the season.
The 36-years old Lacković came from RK Vardar during the winter break.
