Tomori’s goals for Hungarian win over Tunisia – Romania and Germany also on 100%

The Hungarian national team arrived to a second win in the Group D in Novi Sad after a match that was harder than expected. After an easy and convincing defeat from Romania in the first round (27:17), the Tunisian national team gave a good a surprise in “SPENS” and were very close to earn some points – 26:24 (15:15). The victory of the winners of last year’s bronze medal on the European Championship, was brought by a good game in the defense, which made the African team make some technical mistakes, punished with goals by Verten and Tomori.

Neither teams had an advantage greater that three goals during the whole match. The Hungarian girls started to do really well in the 40th minute, when they were leading 19:16, and the Tunisians with a series of 3:0 in the last 10 minutes of the match arrived to an advantage 21:20. In the end of the match, the international experience of the Hungarian team took over. The most efficient players in the winning team were Tomori and Gorbicz with six goals each, and with the same number of goals in the Tunisian team, player Dhaouadi.

In the other two matches the bigger teams dominated: Germany won against Czech Republic (37-32). Germany’s top scorer was Susan Müller who scored 11 times. Australia was defeated by Roumania (13-32).

The next round will be more interesting: Germany will meet Roumania, this will be important because of the getting on.
