The TOP Dutch scorer Estevana Polman probably won’t be able to help her team-mates in the last match of the Main Round at Women’s EHF EURO 2014 against France, which could be decisive for the placement at semi-final. She suffered injury of ribs after brutal foul in the finish of the match with Montenegro 27:31 by the rival’s defensive specialist – Suzana Lazovic.
– I hope her injury will not be as bad as it looks right now. There is a suspicion that she has her rib broken, but we have to wait and see, whether she will be able to play tomorrow. So far I fear she won’t – said Dutch coach Henk Groener.
Polman had to leave the court in tears, while Lazovic came back after only two minutes suspension.
Does handball need some female Joachim Deckarm to start to punish this kind of things?
