VELUX EHF CL: Veszprem, Metalurg and Flensburg to TOP 8!

After HSV Handball, three other teams are qualified for the VELUX EHF Champions League TOP 8. The easiest job had Hungarian TOP team, MKB Veszprem against Ademar Leon 33:25 (15:14) – first match 23:20.

Macedonian Metalurg made the biggest success in club’s history, but also of Macedonian handball with progress to TOP 8. Even 7000 fans in “Boris Trajkovski” couldn’t help their players to broke resistance of Belarussian TOP team Dinamo Minsk 24:22 (11:12) until the end. Metalurg won first match in Minsk – 26:23.

SG Flensburg had a lot of problems to beat Slovenian RK Gorenje 27:25 (13:14), who came to Germany with -3 from the first match (25:28). Slovenians were in lead in 47th minute with 23:21, close to the TOP 8, but team of Ljubomir Vranjes found a way to happyend…
