VRANJES BEAT MACHULLA: Veszprem win derby over Flensburg

Despite fantastic performance of Mattias Andersson, SG Flensburg Handewitt couldn’t avoid defeat in Veszprem against the old rivals led by their legend, former player and coach Ljubomir Vranjes. At the end, Telekom Veszprem won 28:27 (15:14) even Germans had +4, 23:19 in 46th minute. However, they couldn’t earn the first victory on Veszprem’s court since 2001.

The crucial role took Veszprem’s playmaker Mate Lekai, who netted some important goals, nine in total, to become a hero of the match.
