WAHNSINN: Flensburg beat Barca after penalty shoot-out!

Unbeliavable, amazing! SG Flensburg made one of the biggest surprise ever in the five years long history of handball EHF CL F4 in Cologne by beating FC Barcelona 41:39 – 36:36 (32:32 – 18:17) after penalty-shoot-out! Over 20.000 fans in the “Lanxess Arena” have seen one of the most interesting matches in the last few seasons of TOP handball competition. Barca had +6 in the last 10 minutes of the match but that wasn’t enough to celebrate victory.

Karabatic and Co began the last attack in the last minute with advantage 32:31, but after passive play, 10 second ’till the end, Glandorf has scored from the left back position for extra-time and absolutely madness in Cologne’s sports venue…

The same result was after 10 minutes of extra-time. Both coaches, Pascual and Vranjes choose five players for penalty-shoot-out. The only one who missed the shot was Nikola Karabatic against Magnus Andersson. At the end, young Wanne scored the winning goal for a huge celebration.

Bravo Ljubo’s Jungs!

SG Flensburg will meet THW Kiel in the biggest German derby for the European title – Sunday 18hrs.
