Masters Handball World Cup 2017 will be held between April 28 – May 1. The biggest event in the world of veterans handball for ex-boys and ex-girls will be organized on beautiful Adriatic Sea – lovely place of Omis, in two halls just 20 meters from the beach.
One of the promoters is Veselin Vujovic, the biggest handball star of 80’s, who are ready to support event and make four days in Croatia unforgetable to all the guests…
– Veterans handball is the most toughest sport. Ex-handball players like to play basketball, they are pushing under the basket, easily, someone shot for three. When you play handball, you have to play defense and run in attack and back to the defensive line. It is really exhausting sport, so my generation always was refusing to play masters handball matches. We declined calls a lot of time, because of our health, but also because of the memories on us and our TOP handball years. I see sometimes some of my idols on the court, and they don’t running, they are rolling (smile). However, I envy them! I envy because of their wish to go back to the younger age, fighting spirit, on the will to spent time together, laughing. That is all about a friendship. This project is Omis has a fantastic message. If I would be free in that time of the year, I will come and support you and my friends all over the world – concludes Veselin Vujovic, Olympic winner and World Champion with FC Barcelona, but also Champions Cup winner with RK Metaloplastika and FC Barcelona.
