Following the huge success of the World Best Handball Players and Handball PERSON contests and with the clear vision to praise and recognize the potential of some young – new forces in our sport, for the fourth year in a row, Handball-Planet.com organizes the voting Contest for the SPORTHERO WORLD YOUNG HANDBALL PLAYER 2016/2017. Fifthteen handball journalists from Norway, Denmark, France, Slovenia, Serbia, Russia, Poland, Australia, Spain, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, and Belarus made the nominations of 28 players (four per position).
The last member of Jury are the visitors of Handball-Planet.com, which votes will be included in the final result.
Contest including boys born in 1995 and younger.

Handball-Planet.com looking for the third best player on the Earth in the history of our Contest. Spanish right back Alex Dujshebaev (2013/2014) won title three years ago, while in the previous two seasons, Norwegian playmaker Sander Sagosen was the BEST.

The biggest number of nominations for SPORTHERO WORLD HANDBALL PLAYER 2016/17 got boys from RK Celje Pivovarna Laško, THW Kiel, Rhein Neckar Lowen, Paris Saint Germain and Meshkov Brest – two.
Situation with the national teams is a little bit different (14 in total). France giving 6, Belarus,Germany and Hungary 3, Sweden, Slovenia, Norway and Spain 2, Macedonia, Denmark, Poland, Austria and Brazil 1.
