Igor Karacic to leave Kielce: Forever thankful!

Legendary Croatian national team player, Igor Karačić (36), has said farewell to Polish club Kielce with a letter he shared on his social media. The center back, who joined Kielce in the summer of 2019 from Vardar, will bring this chapter of his career to a close at the end of the current season. Where he will continue his career is still unknown.

“Words don’t come easy at this moment, but every player knows this day will come. My journey here as a player has come to an end, and it’s time to say goodbye. I want you to know that these are my final months as a Kielce player.

To our fans: it has been a pleasure playing for you! As a Croatian, you welcomed me as one of your own – thank you for that!

To my team and coaches: I was lucky to work with so many talented people, and I am grateful to each one of you. You helped me grow as a player and as a person. I wish you all the best in the years to come, and I’m sure that as a team, you will achieve great things.

Kielce has been our home for six years. My wife and I will forever be thankful for the people we met here and the family we built here. Kielce and Poland will always have a place in our hearts.

With love, Igor Karačić”
