Slovakia Wins First-Ever Gold at Women’s 17 EHF EURO 2025

The Women’s U17 EHF EURO 2025 Montenegro concluded with a spectacular triumph by the Slovak national team, who defeated Croatia 34:30 (18:17) in the final. This is Slovakia’s first-ever gold medal in the history of their handball, and the final was also the first major final for Croatian women’s handball, which, after winning senior bronze at the EHF EURO 2020, has now added another medal.
The bronze medal stays in Montenegro. The Montenegrins continued their streak of successes in the younger categories with a 22:20 victory over Spain.
The MVP also comes from Montenegro — Martina Knežević.
