EHF Champions League Scoring Boom: A Decade of Rising Goals

The overview of the average number of goals per match in the EHF Champions League over the past 10 seasons clearly shows a rising trend.
From just 55–56 goals per match in the 2015/2016 and 2016/2017 seasons, the competition has seen a significant increase in scoring in recent years.

The record season remains 2022/2023, when 102 group-stage matches produced an impressive average of 62.57 goals per game.

This season is not far behind.

Based on the data so far, it could become the third season with an average above 62 goals.

After eight rounds played, the current average stands at 62.03 goals per match.
