Andraž Makuc to join CS Dinamo Bucharest

One of Slovenia’s most intriguing players at EHF EURO 2026, Andraž Makuc, is set to begin his international club career.
The RK Celje Pivovarna Laško playmaker — and the younger brother of Domen Makuc, Barcelona’s centre back — will feature in the EHF Champions League next season, after agreeing a move to Dinamo Bucharest.
Born in 2002, Makuc has so far played for the famous “Zlatorog” club mainly on the European stage in the EHF European Cup. However, his performances at the last European Championship — where he earned his opportunity after a wave of injuries forced several key players out — showed he is capable of much more.
Dinamo Bucharest, alongside RK Zagreb, have been among the weakest teams in the EHF Champions League in recent seasons, but with the competition expected to expand to 24 teams, the Romanian champions are aiming to be far more competitive from next year.
