THW Kiel and MT Melsungen for the EHF European League title
THW Kiel and MT Melsungen will meet in the EHF European League final in Hamburg at 18:00. The all-German showdown comes after a dramatic semi-final day, in which Kiel defeated Montpellier 29:28 after Andy Wolff protected the “Zebras” goal twice in the final attack.
There was far less suspense in the second semi-final. Melsungen proved too strong for Flensburg, winning 37:30 thanks to an excellent performance from Montenegrin goalkeeper Nebojša Simić, whose 15 saves made the difference and took his team one step away from a major European trophy.
