Magdeburg win first Bundesliga blockbuster against Füchse Berlin
In the first major derby of the 2026/27 DAIKIN Bundesliga season, SC Magdeburg defeated their biggest rivals Füchse Berlin 36:32 (13:14).
A lower-scoring first half went in favor of the visitors from the German capital, who held a one-goal advantage at the break. However, after the restart, Magdeburg’s extra quality and greater squad depth came to the fore as the reigning champions turned the match around and secured another important victory over Berlin.
Albin Lagergren and Magnus Saugstrup were the most efficient players for the winners with seven goals each, while Felix Claar added six.
On the other side, Mathias Gidsel scored seven goals, Lasse Andersson Langhoff had six, while Thomas Arnoldsen? Actually Gröndahl and Mijajlo Marsenić found the net five times each.
It was Magdeburg’s second victory over Füchse Berlin this season after they had already beaten the capital side in the German Super Cup.
