IHF World Championship 2027 hype: 15,000 tickets sold in just 30 minutes

Interest in the 2027 IHF Men’s World Championship in Germany continues to soar. The German Handball Federation (DHB) announced that around 15,000 tickets were sold within just 30 minutes after the third sales phase opened.
Demand was particularly high for Germany’s matches in Munich and Cologne, with the available allocations gone again within only a few minutes. The currently available tickets for the groups featuring Denmark in Kiel and Iceland in Magdeburg were also sold out.
“The speed at which the additional ticket allocations were snapped up is remarkable,” said DHB CEO Mark Schober, adding that demand for Germany’s matchdays continues to significantly exceed supply.
