Dagur Sigurdsson will lead Japanese national handball team until Tokyo 2020! That is a conclusion of the hottest topic in German handball in the last couple of weeks. Fantastic Icelandic coach who made a great success with Germany by winning gold medal at Men’s EHF EURO 2016 in Poland, but also bronze at Olympic Games in Rio, will have another chance to stay in the eternal memory of German handball community at World Championship 2017 in France.
However, Sigurdsson decided to accept new challenge in Japan. It will be interesting to see what can he makes with only average Japanese team.
