Carlen leaves – Vranjes new Flensburg coach

Per Carlen is no longer the coach of SG Flensburg-Handewitt. In a mutual agreement with the club, he left the position of the club, where he was a coach since 21st of December 2008, when he took over from Kent Andersson.

The new successor of Carlen in the club is the sporting director of Flensburg – Ljubomir Vranjes, and this was confirmed also by the President of the club Kaiser. In his farewell saying, Carlen said that he wants “to thank all the fans, sponsors and all the players from the first and second squad of Flensburg, and I wish them lots of success in the future”.

Speculations say that Carlen has a contract with HSV Hamburg starting from July 2011, and to add on this speculation is the fact that Martin Schwalb, the current coach, leaves HSV in the summer 2011.
