New Chapter for Balkan Handball? Joint Hosting Plans for EURO 2034

The President of the Handball Federation of Slovenia, Bor Rozman, announced the potential joint organization of the EHF EURO 2034 for men by Serbia, Slovenia, and North Macedonia.
The head of Slovenian handball spoke about this during the RZS Assembly, held as part of the “Day of Handball” event.
According to him, RZS aims to host two preliminary round groups, one main round group, and one semifinal match, while the final phase would be held in the Serbian capital due to the capacity of the Belgrade Arena.
Serbia previously hosted the Men’s EHF EURO in 2012, eight years after Slovenia organized the event in 2004. North Macedonia has never hosted a senior men’s tournament.
