Nestled between the Adriatic Sea and the Cetina River, Omiš offers a stunning setting for the MHWC. The town’s combination of natural beauty, historic charm, and modern sports facilities makes it an ideal location for athletes and spectators alike. More Than Just a Tournament

The MHWC is renowned not only for its competitive matches but also for fostering a sense of community among participants. Beyond the court, players reconnect with former teammates, forge new friendships, and share their passion for handball. The event emphasizes the joy of the game and the enduring spirit of its players.

  • “From the very beginning, the idea was to create the biggest spectacle in the world of veteran handball. After years of hard work, we’ve achieved unprecedented standards, which people around the world have recognized — and that’s why they gladly return. We strive to ensure that the MHWC remains a special memory for everyone who comes here, and this year too we’ll have male and female handball players on the court in nine age categories, from 35+ to those in their seventies who still want to stay active in sports,” said the organizers Mario Čaljkušić and Žika Bogdanović, representatives of the SportEvent agency and Handball-Planet.com.
