RK Vardar Signs Two International playmakers – Kawada and Bono join the squad

Skopje’s Vardar has strengthened its squad for the upcoming season with two international centre backs.
Coming to the “Jane Sandanski” arena are Japanese player Haruki Kawada and Argentinian player Nicolás Bono.
Haruki Kawada is a 19-year-old Japanese centre back who comes from the youth national team that participated in the last World Championship in Poland. There, Japan reached the second phase and finished in sixteenth place. Kawada was named MVP at the Asian Championship last year. He is being hailed as one of Japan’s future top players.
In the new season, the centre back position will also be filled by Nicolás Bono, who is 27 years old and last played for the French club Istres. This centre back comes from the Argentine club Ballester and had a brief stint with Brazil’s Taubaté. He also played for Spanish clubs Zamora and Sinfín, scoring 140 goals in 29 matches for the team from Santander. After that, he moved to Cherbourg, and in the current season wore the jersey of Istres.
Bono is also a member of the Argentina national team, with appearances at the 2024 South and Central American Championship, the 2024 Olympic Games, and the 2025 World Championship.
